my city in five // raleigh.

Hi, I'm Angela from Head to Toe Chic where I blog about my outfits, the latest trends, and the occasional tutorial. I live in Raleigh, North Carolina and I absolutely love it and its southern charm. It's a couple of hours from both the beach and the mountains which is absolutely perfect.

The first thing I love about Raleigh is North Hills. It's about 5 minutes from where I live and it has a lot of great restaurants and local shops. The best part about it is every Thursday during the summer they have a beach music series with dancing, music, and drinks of course.

In Raleigh, there is no shortage of Sweet Tea. The best sweet tea is found at Bojangles. In college, it’s everyone’s favorite because of how cheap it is, but it also has the perfect amount of sweetness.

In downtown Raleigh there is a local brewery called Boylan Bridge Brew Pub. Their food is amazing and I’ve been told they have really good beer (I’m more of a wine and cider fan). During the summer it’s the perfect place to hang out because of their outdoor seating with a view of the skyline.

When we moved to Raleigh, one of my first memories is going to Big Ed’s restaurant in City Market. It’s the perfect place to get a traditional southern breakfast with grits and biscuits. There is always a line, but it’s so worth it.

Finally, Raleigh is home to North Carolina State University. This is the college that both my husband and I went to and it’s actually where we met. NCSU is known for their amazing engineering program and they also have a great business school.

If you’re ever in the Raleigh area make sure you check out my favorite things! I also hope you will stop by my blog and say hello!
