Oh, hi there. Remember me? I'm sorry for neglecting you, dear blog (and blog readers) - I've been suffering from a serious case of the blogging blues. It's not a matter of not knowing what to post or feeling inspired, I just really haven't felt like blogging.
Things have been a whirlwind post-vacation with business trips to Columbus and LA within a week of returning to Chicago, followed by several long days at the office. I've been soaking up time with those two dogs of mine after missing them (and feeling like a horrible dog mom) while I was away for ten days on my east coast trip/vacation. The Chicago Marathon is officially one month away and I'm running my third and final half marathon this weekend! Marathon training has been an exciting goal to work towards but I have seriously underestimated how much time it truly takes.
So, yeah. Blogging just hasn't really been top of mind, nor have I had the energy. While I love my job and how blogging is truly a fantastic complement to my career, it can be pretty draining and coming home to blog after being immersed in the digital and social media world all day is sometimes the last thing I want to do. Sometimes it's just necessary to step away for a bit.
