recipe // cake batter chocolate chip cookies.

Sometimes Pinterest really gets to you and there are just certain pins that you can’t get out  of your head. These Cake Batter Chocolate Chip Cookies were one of those situations and I am happy to report they are just as delicious as they look (and pink sprinkles make everything better, duh).

The details:

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 1/4 c. white boxed cake mix
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 3/4 c. unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c. white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c. sprinkles

Directions:

  1. Cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar at medium speed, mix in egg and vanilla
  2. Slowly add flour, cake mix and baking soda and mix until just combined – fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles
  3. Cover and refrigerate dough for at least one hour (can stay in fridge for up to four days)
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes – allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 4 minutes, then transfer to wire cooling rack

Enjoy!
