No Makeup Makeup.

No makeup makeup is kind of my jam. I like to try and fool people into thinking #IWokeUpLikeThis when in reality, my fair redness and breakout prone skin needs a little extra help. After experimenting with nearly every BB Cream option on the market I finally found a foundation option that’s a perfect balance of having just enough coverage while blending really well and lasts all day long – Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. Cue rainbows and unicorns, this stuff has seriously changed my skin and makeup routine dramatically.

A look at my daily “no makeup makeup” beauty routine:

No Makeup Makeup.

Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush // Benefit They’re Real Mascara
// Bare Minerals Moxie Lip Gloss c/o
// Flat Kabuki Brush //
Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue c/o // Benefit Watts Up // Benefit Puff Off
// Benefit Gimme Brow // Bobbi Brown Concealer

  1. I have extremely blonde eyelashes so mascara is always a must for leaving the house without looking tired, twelve years old or sick. I start with a swipe of Benefit’s “They’re Real” mascara which adds length and volume – it also is great for nights out because you can get some seriously swoonworthy lashes with this stuff! For the whole no makeup makeup look you want to keep things light, so go easy (and if you have dark lashes, go ahead and even skip the mascara!)
  2. To even out the skin and add a bit of coverage, squeeze a pea sized amount of Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue onto your finger and dot on cheeks, chin and forehead. Use a flat kabuki brush to buff into skin. Cover any blemishes or spots with a bit of concealer (Bobbi Brown is my favorite because it’s the only fair concealer I’ve found that doesn’t have yellow undertones).
  3. To get that dewy, slightly flushed look use the kabuki brush to apply Maybelline Dream Bouncy blush in Fresh Pink to the apples of your cheeks (this stuff is a steal and the shade is ultra flattering on all skin tones!). Highlight the face using Benefit’s “Watts Up” illuminator – I do a stripe down my nose and chin and a V-shape on my forehead and then blend into skin with fingertips.
  4. Finish with a little extra oomph for your brows using Benefit’s “Gimme Brow” (seriously a life changing product!) to fill in your brows and add extra definition for that coveted full brow look. Add a little swipe of lipgloss and you’re good to go!

What is your everyday makeup routine like? Have you embraced the no makeup makeup look?
