A sweater dress with over the knee boots is the perfect combination for fall

In an effort to mix up my typical jeans and a sweater daily uniform I’ve been all about the sweater dress lately. It’s been the perfect way to stay cozy and warm while still feeling a little more polished. In the past I’ve struggled with finding sweater dress options that weren’t too tight or too short – it seems like so many of ’em fall on the dressier side of things where tights and spanx are often required, so I was practically giddy when I spotted this lace up neck option from Madewell. It’s SO good, guys. Like I wore it for three days straight after my Madewell order came in the mail. And I’m not even sorry about it.

The sweater dress + over the knee boot combination is my jam right now for the not quite fall, not quite winter weather we’ve been having (and the fact that I’m now a wuss who is cold in 50 degree weather. California softened me really quickly!). Thanks to the extra coverage in the boot department you’re able to get away with not having to wear tights and let a little leg peek through.
