The Color You Need to Try for Fall.
Even thought it miiiight be in the 80s right now in San Francisco, I’m already in fall mode over here (and as a result, have had a few sweaty days in the past week). While living in Northern California means it’s typically sweater weather year round, the east coaster in me still feels giddy with anticipation for crisp mornings and vibrant foliage as soon as summer winds down. Since the weather isn’t quite ready for layers yet, I’ve been getting my fall fix by mixing in more autumn hues and textures into my outfits – from rich jewel tones to suede details, its been just enough to signify the switching of the seasons.
My very favorite color for fall though? Mustard. For years I strayed away from yellow as a blonde thinking it would be too close to my hair color but I couldn’t have been more wrong. I swear mustard is one of those hues that looks amazing on everyone, regardless of hair color or skin tone.
I recently grabbed this rich mustard dress from Nordstrom – it’s crazy affordable (just $55!), really flattering with a cinched waist and is one of those pieces that you can wear for a million different occasions. It’s sadly sold out at the moment but I swear Nordstrom always restocks AND Shopbop has some seriously cute options on sale right now. In case you haven’t heard… they’re having one of their crazy end of season sales where you can get up to 25% off now almost everything until Friday with code EOTS17, which means it’s time to stock up for fall!
Have you added any mustard to your fall wardrobe? Has anyone scored anything amazing during the Shopbop sale yet?!
