summer skin.

With the heat and (slight) tan I have going on, the last thing I want is a face full of foundation.  I created this combination when recently rummaging through my beauty products and it's become my go to for light coverage without feeling caked on:

I put about a pea sized amount of each in my hand, blend and then put on after washing my face - it's the perfect amount of coverage and best of all, no dreaded "melting face"!  I also love the Yes to Blueberries moisturizer for the summer because it provides just the right amount of moisture without leaving my face oily.

Do you switch up your daily makeup routine in the summer to accommodate the heat and humidity?

PS. This post now has "Summer Skin" by Death Cab for Cutie (who I just saw last week!) stuck in my head, so enjoy this little tune:

I'll be the one person to come here and not talk about any of the products on this page, haha. I love Death Cab! So jealous you saw them recently. The last time they were around here we didn't know until the day before the show and we couldn't go (might have been sold out too.) Plans is probably my favorite album of theirs.

ps. What is this comment system deal you have going on here? It's definitely but it threw me off not to be able to comment through the normal Blogspot options.

  5. Good to know! I haven't tried any Tarte products so I'll have to check them out. I also use the Bare Minerals Pressed Powder Mineral Veil in the translucent shade; it's great for eliminating shine without looking like you're wearing a pressed powder.

  6. On days where the sun is strong I use a SPF30 moisturizer, and then add my Tarte tinted moisturizer with SPF20 on top. On cloudy days I use a moisturizer withough SPF and still add the Tarte tinted moisturizer with SPF 20 on top. I've been using that Tarte moisturizer since September, and goes through every season flawless.
