4 everyday energy boosts.

Plenti

Everyday is truly a fresh start. It’s an opportunity to not only get tons done, but also to be the best version of yourself and make progress toward your long-term goals and ambitions. Being as busy as I am with blogging and working full time, I’ve really started to embrace the new opportunities that come with each day by focusing on what I can control within my hectic schedule to set myself up for success, regardless of the inevitable curveballs that get thrown my way. A look at a few of my favorite everyday energy boosts:

Next time you’re feeling yourself slipping into a slump or drowning under a sea of things to do, take a second to reset with one of these ways to reenergize:

1. Plan and Prioritize: Listen, we all only have 24 hours in each day (if anyone has found the secret to adding more, please let me know immediately). Be realistic and set yourself up for success by setting a clear plan for each day – think through what you’ll need to get done and prioritize your to do list so you’re able to easily see what to tackle first. Be strategic about your plan for the day and try to avoid overloading yourself which will only drain you and stress you out. Bucket tasks based on similar categories or estimated length of time they’ll take to accomplish (i.e. anything under 10 mins.) so you can find some focus and structure, even if things feel crazy.

2. Exercise and Energize: We’re all guilty of saying that we’re too busy or too tired to get a workout in but the truth is, working out doesn’t drain you of energy, it adds to it. Exercising is a great way to take a break and get your energy up and endorphins flowing while also making you feel good knowing you made the effort and dedicated the time to do something positive for your body.

3. Make Some “Me” Time: When we’re faced with a busy schedule it can be difficult to find time to relax and unplug. Before jumping into your day, take 5 minutes to spend time doing something you enjoy – it can be a quick meditation session, some morning stretches or even reading your favorite blogs online with a cup of coffee. It doesn’t matter what you do during your “me” time and you won’t end up missing those five minutes later on during the day but they’ll make a huge difference on your long-term happiness!

4. Fuel Up Right: Being hangry is never a good thing, not only for everyone else around you, but also for your own productivity. Snacking can be an awesome way to help keep your energy up when you need to crank on work without running the risk of putting you into a food coma. For a quick and simple snack try grabbing a Yoplait Plenti Greek Yogurt; it’s packed full of protein and whole grains oats, flax and pumpkin seeds to be more substantial and satisfying with several awesome flavors to add some variety to your snacking routine. I’ve been loving pairing Yoplait Plenti Greek Yogurt with juice and fresh fruit with almond butter for a snack that keeps my energy up and fights hanger (especially during those never ending hours between breakfast and lunch when you’re at the office!)
