Cozy Holiday Style with J. Jill.

I don’t care what the weather is like outside, all I want is to be cozy once the holiday season rolls around. There certainly is a time and place for holiday glam but besides that, you’re most likely to find me in either loungewear or errand running attire as I cruise through my jam-packed schedule and never ending to do lists.

When the J. Jill team shared their December collection with me I was instantly onboard. These people know where it’s at! Cozy knits, down vests, comfy slippers and loungewear? Yes, please. All of it. A package full of goodies arrived right before the Thanksgiving weekend (talk about perfect timing!) and I spent the long weekend savoring as much cozy as possible.

Over the weekend we checked out the Guardsmen Tree Lot in Fort Mason to pick up our very first Christmas tree together. For a festive, yet cozy outfit I layered this tartan vest over a cream sweater to add some warmth given the chilly temperatures and wind up by the bay, and kept the rest of the look simple with dark denim and Frye boots. Layering is always a good idea given San Francisco’s unpredictable fog and weather and the combination of the plaid and red lipstick felt right at home amongst the hundreds of fresh cut Christmas trees.

For pretty much the remainder of our long Thanksgiving weekend (and um, typically every weekend…), I stuck with comfortable loungewear which was perfect for the marathon of blog shooting + writing around the apartment I had on my plate. These cotton knit pants and long-sleeved tee were favorites because of how soft and cozy they are while still being breathable. And these UGG Australia slippers? Literally life changing! Somehow I’ve never owned slippers before and now I am never without them on my feet while hanging around the apartment. They’re the best!
