highlights // march.

I think March could be summed up in two words: cold and busy. The month absolutely flew by (I feel like they all do) but I'm not complaining considering warmer days and lots of exciting things are ahead. Some highlights from March: Many, many trips to Magnolia Bakery Apartment hunting (found the perfect place!) Client meeting after client meeting My first Blackhawks game! #TreatYoself Trips to Donut Vault Meeting a reader (hi Carrie!) over a fishbowl sized mocha The most perfect closet addition, new booties Early mornings at the office A fresh haircut and smooth…

twenty five.

// photo via Kojo Designs I still can't believe I turned 25 today - how is time flying by so fast?  I'm lucky enough to have had another amazing year (the past two years have been one giant pinch me moment) and I can't wait to see what the year ahead holds.   Following the tradition started last year, here are 24 things that happened (and were pretty great) while I was 24: Decided to run a half marathon and then ended up running three + the Chicago Marathon Adopted Holden and became a dog…

style icon // blake lively.

I became mildly obsessed with Blake Lively during this summer's marathon watching of the Gossip Girl series.  Blake is one of those girls who you both want to be and want to be best friends with - she has a classic, casual style that looks great in both streetstyle and red carpet photos.  And that hair?  Some serious motivation to grow mine out. So here we go.  I'll be blogging along the way to hold myself responsible and sharing my experiences as the next 1,001 days go by. End date: September 28, 2015 Finish list of 101 things (12.12)…

relaxing.

Relaxing is one of those things I struggle with - my to do list is always a few items too long and the idea of doing nothing stresses me out, but sometimes it's just necessary.  Last week was one of those weeks where within a one week span I ran a marathon, attended Chicago Ideas Week events and had a huge client meeting, all while battling intense migraines.  It became apparent that some down time was needed (hence the blog silence) and it was time to take a few days and and do nothing without…
